Pete Kelly's Blues
[edit]Well, I agree. I'm usually successful in finding radio-specific images but not this time. So I used a film image with much reluctance. Pepso 19:51, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
Muppet Wikia
[edit]Hi. I'm assuming you're the same Aleal who is on the Muppet Wiki. I'm trying to create an account on the Muppet Wiki but it's not letting me -- I don't get any "create one" option. Has this been disabled for some reason? I e-mailed "toughpigs", who I believe is the creator of the Wiki, but he never got back to me. I thought maybe I had some weird cookie blocker, but I do get the "create one" option when I sign in to the main Wikipedia. Cheers. 23skidoo 20:10, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Hi! I'm not sure what you mean about a disabled option. It's there, always, on the far right, login/create. The direct page can be found here. And yeah, Danny (toughpigs) is on a bit of a hiatus right now. Hope this helps, and it would be great to have you join us. Looking at your profile, it might amuse you to know that we now have a Doctor Who page on Muppet Wiki. -- Aleal 23:37, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Discussion of "funny animal"
[edit]I know this is a little late, but thank you for your extended exploration of the use of the term "funny animal" in August 2005. Given your perspective on the topic, I would be curious to know if you think {{Furry fandom}} should be added to that article, or not. While it is most certainly related to furry fandom, I'm not sure whether the other items in the box are sufficiently related.GreenReaper 01:00, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:ArthurQBryan.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:ArthurQBryan.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ilse@ 23:04, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:PeterJones.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:PeterJones.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 00:56, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Image:Radio_host_DonMcNeill.jpg
[edit]I have tagged Image:Radio_host_DonMcNeill.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 19:58, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Re: Re User Behavior
[edit]Thanks for your note. I'm aware of most of the issues you highlighted for me; I have been keeping a close eye on his contributions for a while now. I hope that the block will perhaps smack some sense into him. Maybe I'm just giving him too many final chances and the benefit of the doubt. - Mark 01:08, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah. Looking at his behavior upon being unblocked over that science fiction page, I doubt it (we had to block him from Muppet Wiki, under multiple names, for adding personal fantasies as fact, mostly relating to wrestling and Doctor Who). I'm just trying not to say anything to attract his attention (cowardly, but I'd just as soon not have another person cussing me out or making gratuitous remarks in edit summaries), but as you of course know, it's still an incredible amount of work to undo the damage caused either by his fixations on adding unsourced/disproved claims or by his "If so and so won't do this, then clearly I should delete this" sprees. -- Aleal (talk) 03:21, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Andrew, I noticed your edit to Fire and Ice (1983 film). Could you look over the articles for Ralph Bakshi's other films and make sure that the quotes from The Animated Movie Guide are correctly attributed? (Sugar Bear (talk) 00:25, 24 March 2010 (UTC))
Non-free rationale for File:Kenny Delmar as Senator Claghorn.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Kenny Delmar as Senator Claghorn.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:17, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
Media Contributions-related
[edit]You are doing a good job contributing to the various medias. When you stated in the Edit Summaries that Van Snowden had portrayed H.R. Pufnstuf in other appearances, did you mean that he had portrayed H.R. Pufnstuf in The Krofft Superstar Hour as well. I had also started a sub-section for characters there ever since some of them were said to have voices similar to Mae West and Edward G. Robinson (don't ask me on which characters spoke in that style of those actors) while the West Wind's voice is in the style of John Wayne. Good job with your media contributions, Andrew. Disambiguation link notification for April 8
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Gunsmoke cast members, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Stephenson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Spoof account
[edit]Thanks for letting me know and I saw the link on wikicorrection's talk page. Of course, Gabby was not the person who created the account. It was another user that did it and he joined the wiki in June 2012. Would you unblock her from the Muppet wiki because those aren't her accounts.--HappyLogolover2011 (talk) 22:10, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

John Dehner edit
[edit]Thanks for removing unnecessary names of actors from John Dehner. I have trimmed some other articles similarly, and I appreciate your edit summary. I don't know why some editors feel the need to add names of programs' stars when (as your summary noted) the information is found easily in the linked article about the program. - Belated your welcome! To me, it only makes sense, sometimes, when in a clear "playing opposite" sense, or relevant to the person's overall life/career like a spouse or family member appearing or a frequently teamed co-star. -- Aleal (talk) 00:23, 18 February 2023 (UTC)
